Coeur Health offers a menu of services from which to choose. Our program centers around the "CPC method" of early cardiovascular disease detection. This method calculates your "Rasmussen Score" using a combination of non-invasive tests backed by years of research through the University of Minnesota. At Coeur Health, we strive to provide you with the best tools and latest technologies for calculating risk and taking meaningful steps to reverse disease.

Cardiac 101 Basic Screening

Taking only an hour, Cardiac 101 is our basic testing for early CVD abnormalities. Generally done as a first-time screening, we use non-invasive, state-of-the-art equipment to uncover abnormalities associated with atherosclerosis to inform patients whether more in-depth testing or treatment is necessary. Our cardiac 101 is covered under some insurance plans' wellness benefit.

Comprehensive Cardiovascular Evaluation

Our full "executive style" cardiovascular screening evaluation using the Rasmussen 10-point scoring system to fully evaluate an individual’s risk for future events. Designed to detect disease at its earliest stages, our comprehensive screening generates a "risk score" (based on data collected from thousands of patients tested at UMN) to predict likelihood of having a heart attack over the next decade. The comprehensive evaluation includes a host of procedures, lab and imaging tests (no radiation) to determine risk, as well as detailed dietary and lifestyle counseling. Highly individualized, our one-on-one testing takes place over a two hour period and includes a follow up visit with a board certified cardiologist from Lafayette Heart Clinic to review results and recommendations. If applicable, cost of Cardiac 101 is counted toward the full screen. Most insurance companies cover the Comprehensive Evaluation when presenting or referred with an appropriate diagnosis such as hypertension. Please contact us should you have any questions regarding insurance.

Genetic Testing

The latest research has made available genetic tests that can serve as an additional component to understanding your risk for heart disease. As with all Coeur Health testing, results of this test are kept confidential and you are highly encouraged to thoroughly review the test result and recommendations with our Coeur Health staff.

CAD Reversal

For people with known Coronary Artery Disease, we offer a program for assessing your current condition and planning a more comprehensive approach for gaining better heart health. Treatment protocols should not be "one size fits all": more advanced cholesterol tests can better pinpoint origins of risk and improve our ability to monitor progress. And, new genetic tests exist which studies have shown can help determine which treatment protocol is most effective for a particular patient. Structured as an initial review with ongoing assessment, various means (medical, diet, exercise, stress reduction, lifestyle) are employed to meet individual needs.

Corporate In-Service Consultation & Wellness Programs

Corporations, particularly self-insured organizations or any company seeking to provide a great benefit for its employees, can benefit from this consultation. Tailored to fit your company’s needs, we can help educate executives, HR departments and employees on how to reduce risk for cardiovascular disease, help improve overall health, and even save on healthcare dollars.

Special appointments can be made for couples or employee groups.
